- To generate RentFAX risk scores and reports for rental operators
- To verify renter identity and detect fraud signals
- To allow renters to view and dispute their own records
- To improve platform accuracy and safety
Who we share it with
- Authorized rental operators who search for a renter with consent
- Identity verification partners (for ID document validation)
- Legal authorities when required by law or court order
- We do not sell your data to advertisers or data brokers
Your rights
- View your full RentFAX profile at any time
- Dispute any inaccurate record in your history
- Request a copy of all data we hold about you
- Request account deactivation (records retained for compliance — see Terms §11)
Data retention
Rental records, reports, and incident filings are retained for a minimum of 7 years for compliance, dispute resolution, and fraud prevention purposes. Account deactivation does not delete underlying records.
