Acceptable Use Policy

1. Purpose of This Policy

RentFAX exists to support transparent, fair, and responsible rental documentation and risk insight. This Policy is designed to protect renters, reporting parties, and RentFAX itself from misuse, harassment, retaliation, or unlawful behavior.

2. Prohibited Uses

You may not use RentFAX to:

  • Submit false, misleading, exaggerated, or retaliatory reports
  • Harass, threaten, intimidate, or coerce individuals
  • Circumvent dispute or review processes
  • Submit reports without a lawful rental relationship
  • Upload fabricated, altered, or misleading evidence
  • Attempt to “punish” or shame renters
  • Use RentFAX as a blacklist or denial-only tool
  • Reverse-engineer scoring or risk signals
  • Scrape, copy, or extract platform data without authorization
  • Interfere with platform integrity or security

3. Evidence Upload Restrictions

The following content may not be uploaded:

  • Medical or health records
  • Biometric data (facial scans, fingerprints, voiceprints)
  • Government IDs unless explicitly requested
  • Illegally obtained data
  • Surveillance footage without lawful basis
  • Content violating privacy, wiretapping, or recording laws

4. Reporting Party Responsibilities

Users submitting reports must:

  • Have lawful authority to report the rental activity
  • Act in good faith
  • Maintain supporting documentation
  • Respond to disputes when required
  • Correct known inaccuracies

5. Enforcement

RentFAX may, at its discretion:

  • Remove content
  • Suspend or terminate accounts
  • Restrict features
  • Preserve records for legal compliance
  • Cooperate with lawful requests from authorities

Violations of this Policy may result in immediate action without notice.
